Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection (Cont.) First Impressions and Updates!

Hi friends!! I know, I’m extremely late to the party on these items…I got you the foundation and blush before but I waited to get these. The palette was a gift (I would have never purchased it for myself) and the powder I got just to see how it compared to my Laura Mercier, and guess what, I got that too in the VIB sale.

First up, just a reminder about the other items in the collection and now that I’ve had a lot of time to test them, my mind has changed a bit. You can see my original review here.

The foundation….while it did a great job at staying put all day and keeping the oil at bay I had a huge issue trying to match my skin…No matter which one I tried they all came out orange on me. I of course didn’t realize this because of my tan, except that my tan had faded, lol… Honestly, it wasn’t until I got the Fenty Pro Filt’r in 150 that I knew they were all extremely orange on me. Anyway, I have a few tubes of the Sweet Peach Foundation and I’m sure I’ll dig back into them but for now, they will stay in a drawer until I can get my hands on a better match or until I get a tan! Unfortunately I am not on the Too Faced PR list so I have to buy those and since I have the Fenty, right now I don’t have a need. Anyway, the Pinch my Peach blush that I wasn’t so sure about? I’ve LITERALLY worn it EVERY freaking day. It is sooooo effing amazing and just beautiful once you learn how to apply it.. NO BRUSHES blend with fingertips and you’re good to go…adds an amazing touch of color, I am in love with it and will 100% repurchase, it is a new HG and has replaced my NARS Orgasm (GASP!!!)

Anyway, on with the new stuff, the palette as I said isn’t something I was really interested in… The palette retaills for $45USD and can be found here.  It contains 12 shades and is described as:

A long-wearing eyeshadow palette with 12 highly-pigmented, matte hues for endless eye looks.

We all know here that I am into sparkles, glam and glitter!! It was gifted to me though so I tried it out…It’s sad y’all. IDK what else to say. I don’t think it’s TF fault because it’s meant to be exactly what it is…matte. I do use it for base shades and for transition colors, it’s good for that. The texture is nice and I will say you can’t judge it based off swatches because it swatches REALLY shitty. On the eyes though it looks pretty darn good. Once again I’m just not a big fan of mattes. I thin if you like mattes and you like these colors, then it is probably a safe bet. The compact though, is so , so beautiful. It’s heavy and it feels really nice. It’s made of metal but not the same kind the chocolate bar palettes are made of. It’s just really pretty, so I don’t mind it hanging out on my vanity, at all! It does have the same “Sweet peach and fig cream” scent which I’m not a huge fan of, but it’s faint.

The Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder was a little bit more of a hit for me. It retails for $32USD and can be found here. It’s described as:

A lightweight and comfortable, mattifying loose powder in a universal peach tint.

My real goal here was to find something that I could use alternating my loose powders with my Laura Mercier and my Coty Airspun. It is said to be mattifying and last up to 14 hours….Sign me up! Now, it IS peach tinted but goes on translucent on me. I’m not sure how this would work with darker tones (someone let me know??) It’s cheaper than the LM and you actually get a little bit more product…plus it has a nice snap close lid over the sifter which is nice for not making a mess because I normally tap these into the lid then swirl in my brush or my beauty blender. I think it sits on the skin really nice, it does mattify (though to me not as long as the LM) but close. My only issue with this is I’m not sure if it’s universal and of all the Sweet Peach lineup, this one to me…has the strongest scent. It’s a little overwhelming every time I unsnap that lid….but it dissipates once applied to the face. Anyways for the 32USD you get 1.23oz of product compared to LM 38USD for just 1oz. It’s definitely a good product and I’ll continue to use.

That’s all for today, thanks my lovelies!!
