Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette

Hello friends!!! I have had one hell of a December… I have traveled all over the US for vacation and work, had Christmas and now some relaxation until January. The moment I saw this palette in a preview many moons ago, I was in love with it. The packaging is just absolutely to freaking die for. Sooooooo pretty!! (you know how much I like shiny stuffs).

Are they effing serious with this packaging though?!?! Soooooo gorgeous!

Anyway, this is the Too Faced Chocolate Gold palette, it retails for $49 USD and can be purchased on here on the TF website, Sephora or Ulta and probably department stores as well. I was a big fan of the first chocolate bar palette, I didn’t try the semi-sweet and because I have the mini white chocolate chip palette (hated it so much I gave it away to my sister). I decided to pass on the white chocolate bar palette, you probably should too! Anyways… So this palette is full of some shimmers/glitter and a few mattes. It has some very unique shades (to me). Here’s a description from TF:

Take decadence to the next level with a luxurious gold and cocoa powder-infused eye shadow palette that smells as good as it looks. Have a major metallic moment with foiled shadows that are created with real gold for an epic high-shine finish that’s paired with rich, seductive mattes for coffee to cocktails wear. All shadows feature a soft, velvety texture with full coverage payoff. The entire palette is infused with skin-loving cocoa powder for a decadent chocolate scent.

Wait…what??? REAL GOLD?!?! YAS, SIGN ME UP!!! So first impression having it in my hands, once again was just how beautiful the packaging is. I’ve never really seen anything like it. It’s in the standard TF palette I love with the big long mirror on the inside of the lid. It DOES still smell like chocolate, but honestly this isn’t as strong as any of my chocolate bar palettes. It’s a faint coco/cosmetic smell instead of super strong…Not sure how I feel about that yet. I did swatch all of the shades for you:

These colors are just so beautiful, and quite a few of them are real stand outs to me. I absolutely love Drippin’ Diamonds for the inner corners. Yesterday I wore that along with the base matte Rollin’ in Dough with Classy and Sassy and Rich girl on the lid. It was so extremely pretty and it wore all day with no creasing (I primed my lids with Nars Soft Matte Primer).

Holla for a Dolla  is on the bottom left there and is a seriously beautiful color. It’s a brownish green shimmer and to me has a bit of a shift, I freaking love it.

In all, 10 out of 10 would recommend. I’m always a sucked for cute packaging but this time it really paid off!! These are extremely wearable glitter/shimmers, the palette is versatile in also offering some mattes even including YAS a matte black and a base crease color!! The colors are super soft and do feel pretty creamy. I didn’t really have a problem with patchiness OR fallout (shocker!) and they were easy enough to blend. I do not normally LOVE my TF palettes, but this one, I freaking adore and you couldn’t pry it out of my hands!

Don’t forget before you buy this or well…pretty much ANYTHING to sign up for ebates. They basically give you a percentage of your purchase back IN CASH and it works on almost any site on the internet (including Ulta, Sephora, etc). You can sign up here. It’s not a scam and it’s not a gimmick. I have gotten hundreds of dollars back on my purchases over the years. It’s free money, sign up! Plus, when you do sign up you get a free $10 gift card.
