Bang bang into the roooooom!!! I know you want it, bang bang all over yooooouuuu…..wait…No..I don’t want it all over me!! I want a nice beautiful mascara that makes my lashes look gorgeous dahling!
Anywho, that song is what I think of every time I think of this new mascara from Benefit. I’ll just go ahead and slap Benefit’s description here:

Here’s the tea, this mascara retails for a WHOPPING $24USD compared to their regular Bad Gal mascara at $19USD. That’s a pretty huge difference if you ask me, and quite frankly I was pretty disappointed by that, but their other mascara’s (They’re Real and Rollerlash are also $24USD, so it’s still on point). You get the same amount of product in each of them. The only reason I can think of for the price difference is the brush type is rubbery in all of the more expensive ones.
Anyway, I have tried all 4 and Bad Gal and Bad Gal Bang are probably my favorites. I wore They’re Real religiously for a while but eventually found it to be too wet. Anyways, I was curious about this one because it’s called volumizing but most volumizing mascaras have a bushy wand…this one is the opposite, it has a very very slim wand…but guess what, it works!! I was able to get all of my lashes including the tiny ones that I normally end up poking myself in the eye to get. This did a great job with lengthening and a so-so job with volumizing.
My lashes didn’t feel crunchy at all, and because it’s gel based it didn’t flake off either. I did notice some transfer under my eye after taking a nap…which is pretty normal but always nice when that doesn’t happen. This lasts all day but is still easy to take off with a makeup wipe. It definitely gives a dramatic look, and unlike others I had no issues with clumping…In fact the tiny little brush made it so I didn’t get a ton of product on the brush which meant little to no clumping…The proof is in the pudding (or in this case pictures). I really like this stuff, I’m not sure why it’s getting so much hate honestly.
While it’s not the end all be all, and it won’t be my holy grail and replace my Lancome Monsieur Big or Tarte Smart Mascara, it’s definitely pretty and I’ll wear it often.
I’d give this a solid A-.
