Hang in there kitten, VIB sale starts this Friday, April 13th (Friday the 13th, how apropro). This is the time of the year (and the fall) where I put everything I’ve been wanting to buy in my sephora cart, then go nuts and buy it. This isn’t the big sale, it’s only 15% off (for Rouge and VIB, for Beauty Insiders it’s 10%), but still…they are prestige brands you cannot normally purchase on sale.
The flyer with the information is below, but basically Rouge members get to shop first (on the 13th) then VIB and insiders get to shop the following week. If you’re rouge you get to shop both at 15% off, in case you forgot something!

Foundation:
Estee Lauder DoubleWear Stay in Place Makeup: $42
I like this makeup because it lasts and lasts…and lasts, it’s great for oily skin and just as well for combo, which my skin turns into during the winter months now it would seem. It does show texture so make sure to use a good primer.
Fenty Pro Filtr Soft Matte Foundation: $34
I have raved about this since it came out. It is truly my holy grail of foundations. I’m just now close to finishing up the bottle. It comes in a plethora of shades and sits so well on the face, and does not pick up texture. You can read my review on it here.
Lips:
Too Faced Melted Matte Lip color: $21
I love, LOVE these. If you’re looking for a good matte liquid lip but don’t want to suffer through uncomfortable dryness, these are your best bet. I love these so much more than my KVD. Queen B is my absolute go to! You can read my review on them here.
Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer: $28
These….uggggh, these are so, so, SO worth the money! I lucked out last year and got the Snake Charmer set that came with 5 colors in mini size for less than the cost of a full size (it was on sale). So I decided to try them and I have NOT looked back. They provide amazing color that lasts and they aren’t overly sticky. These are my absolute go-to if I’m wanting to wear a gloss. I highly recommend Boys Don’t Cry..yes it’s purple in the tube but turns into a really nice subtle color on the lips….Tip: I usually pat the color a bit to make it less bold.
Eyes:
Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette: $49
This palette is so freaking nice. The shades are pigmented and they blend really well. The packaging is nice and it smells good too. I still reach for this about once a week Definitely a must have in my opinion. You can read my review on it here.
Violet Voss Hashtag Pro Palette: $45
This palette is gorgeous, nice shades, good pigment and blendability with transition shades and a liner.
Face:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter: $28
I’m sorry but you need this!! It’s the most beautiful highlighter I’ve ever seen and works so well on so many skin tones. An every day favorite of mine that I won’t stop using unless something better comes along..Which I don’t really see happening. You can read my review on it here.
Body:
Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Cream: $20-45
I’m so glad they came out with a smaller version of this cream (as well as a matching scented body spray). The scent alone of this cream makes it just sooooo worth it…it’s effing amazing…a sweet, gourmand almond, coconut, cake smell. I always have the hardest time describing it…but it lease the prettiest sparkle to your skin (only noticeable in the sun) and makes my skin super soft. A tub lasts 4-eva!! If you get one thing at the sale, please make it this or at least grab a sample! You can read my review on it here.
What’s on my wishlist?
My wishlist is actually pretty small this year. With all of the festival releases out there hasn’t been a lot I’ve wanted…but here’s what I’m going to buy:
Like I said, just a few things because I already got a few items at the Tarte Friends and Family sale. I initially wanted several other things but ultimately removed them from my list as I’m trying to pare down.
I haven’t yet tried the Marc Jacobs bronzer but I hear it’s fantastic and the compact is giant sized!
The Glow Recipe I got a sample of and it’s probably the best facial cleanser I have ever used! No breakouts and my skin felt super duper clean.
I am really wanting to get a new MJ lipgloss, I love the colors I have but I want something a little darker and not as bold but still very much there. I think Boom is the way to go there!
