Hello friends! I have to admit, as a cool toned lady, all of the warm toned palettes that have been coming out the past few years have really left something to be desired…for me anyway. Enter 2019, the year of the cool toned palettes! When Jeffree announced the Blue Blood palette, I was filled with all of the excite and joy!
Finally a palette for cool toned ladies, and ladies who love cool tones. This palette was NOT easy for me to get my hands on, so I’m hoping it becomes more widely available. In the meantime, I have swatched every single shade for you so you can decide if you need it too.
First impressions are: Jesus effing banana, this palette is huge!!! Definitely cannot travel with it. Second thought was the pans are a very nice size, and the packaging is gorgeous (love that clasp!!). The palette includes 18 (EIGHTEEN!!!) shades and retails for $52USD. You can purchase the palette here (if it’s in stock). You can also purchase it from Morphe at a 10% discount or beautylish and beautybay. At pres time, it is OOS on all of those sites….*tear*. Each shade is 1.5G of product. To put it into perspective, UD usually sells a 12 pan palette (Naked series) for $54USD and those are about 1.3G , so you’re really getting a good value here.

The shade range on this palette is phenomenal. There are transition shades as well as big bold bright colors, and pressed pigments. Most of the shades are buttery smooth, but a few feel pretty rough to the touch and drag a bit on the eye (specifically Ocean Ice Undertaker and Flourishing, I’m guessing these may be the pressed pigments??).
In all, you can make every day looks or bold looks with this palette, definitely worth the price tag and the bonus of being cruelty free. If you can get your hands on one, definitely snap one up!

*Editors note* There was some staining from a couple of colors, so be careful with those (Deceased and Ocean Ice).
