Hello friends! As part of my Sephora VIB haul I got a few Fenty items and rather than review them all together I think I’ll be reviewing them separately because I have a lot to say about them and don’t want to bore you with a super huge post.
First up is the Cosmic Gloss Lip Glitter. I went to Sephora wanting to pick up the shade “Astro-Naughty” but…alas it was sold out. I tried the other colors in the line and the only other one that I liked was “Gal on the Moon”. These retail for $19USD for 9.7ml and can be found here. To note they are a full dollar more than the original Fenty Gloss Bomb which is 9ml. They are described as:
A limited-edition glitter-packed lip gloss that delivers the ultimate triple-threat of creamy color, glitter, and shine.
Transform your lips, your look, your world. Cosmic Gloss Lip Glitter is a triple-threat fusion of pigment, glitter, and gloss that takes sparkle to astronomical new heights.
Each hue is packed with iridescent glitter and drenched in mirror-like shine for a megadose of multidimensional shimmer in just one swipe.
Unlike other glitter glosses, Cosmic Gloss is designed to be unbelievably smooth and creamy for out-of-this-world shine plus phenomenal comfort.
These are definitely packed with glitter and are really pretty to look at. The one I picked up is described as holographic pink orchid. The pink orchid is pretty accurate but really it’s not true holo. It’s blue shift glitter. It’s really pretty in the tube but the colors are extremely well pigmented so it made me look a bit alienish with my pale skin. I think this would look amazing on darker skin tones…but for me..it’s a no dog. Plutonic Relationship and Spacesuit are just meh. There are lots of other colors like them, and there are only two real standout shades in this particular line. One thing I really like about Fenty is that they cater to all skin types/tones with their shade ranges in most of their products.
The formula is awesome! it’s thick but not very sticky and lasts a couple of hours on me. It can be layered to intensify the color. I really had a hard time capturing the true color of this on my lips. Imagine what you see but more purple/blue shift. If it had looked like this in person I’d have wanted to keep it! This gloss actually has the right amount of glitter/color that make me feel like I’m not too old to wear it.

The formula is fantastic and it doesn’t smell bad. It does have a powdery/cakey smell but I quite liked it. I’m going to run back to Sephora and exchange it for either Astro-Naughty if it is in stock, or I’ll get the Gloss Bomb version. I will tell you and give you this sneak peek…out of the Fenty items I tested this was the only real dud and that’s only because I didn’t like the color on my skin.
Fenty is a new brand, but it’s going places. It offers really great quality at a decent price point. I did skip out on the Galaxy eye palette because honestly when I swatched it was just pure glitter with no real color pay off. Aside from that, the foundation is freaking amazing and so are the matchsticks for contouring. More on those later! If you’ve been waiting, pick up Fenty during the VIB sale. It offers the chance to try it at a rare discount.
What have you picked up from the sale?
