Hello friends! I’ve been working on lots of new content for you lately, so this is just going to be a quick nod to MY picks of 2017. Of course what works best for me may not work for you…and the things I hate you may love. Either way you cut it, these are my favorite items of 2017.
Most of these have been reviewed here so I’ll link each one for you. I also feel I need to make a side note here. I know Too Faced has been pretty controversial in the beauty community lately….and I know I have a lot of TF on my list. I try to be pretty unbiased based on brand social happenings and go with is the product quality good. The ONLY time I have ever let something like that affect my purchase is with one brand in particular which I will not be naming here. I do not agree with the values and morals of the owner and I can’t give my money to that person. That being said…here’s the list!

Too Faced Peaches and Cream blush:Not only is the cream to powder formula amazing but the color payoff is fanfuckingtastic!! I use this literally every day, it has replaced my NARS Orasm! Click here for my review
NARS-Nars soft matte concealer has replaced my shape tape simply because it’s easier to work with and isn’t as thick plus doesn’t make my under eyes dry out like the shapetape does. (although I’ll tell you I already have my Shapetape foundation on order from tarte). You KNOW I’ll be reviewing that! Click here for my review
Fenty Pro Filt’r Foundation: Seriously though….How did I live so long without this??? Best formula ever, hands down if you have an oily skin type. I will say this is not great for dry skin. My sister has a dry skin type and hated this. I’m kind of excited though because Tarte’s new Shapetape foundation comes in both a matte formula and a lumi formula for both skin types!!! (YAAAAAAY!) Too Faced Peach Perfect Setting Powder: This stuff is so good I use it instead of my Laura Mercier loose powder….I just think it’s better! Click here for my review
Tarte Gifted Mascara: Ugggggggghhhhh…I LOVE this stuff. It makes my lashes feel so nice. My lashes are soft and not crunchy. It’s volumizing and somewhat lengthening. In a word….perfect! Click here for my review
Belif the True Cream Aqua Bomb: You guys…..youguys!!! If you haven’t tried this yet…please DO. Belif is a K beauty brand and this moisturizer is the freakin shit!! So moisturizing without being greasy and feels cool on the skin. This one is best suited for oil/combo skin, they have a gream version that’s great for dry skin!
Smashbox Iconic Primer Stick: Yes, I finally found my HG primer y’all!! This stick is great for oily/normal skin types. It keeps oil at bay all day and helps to soften the skin prior to makeup application. Click here for my review
Fenty Matchsticks in Amber: This is the perfect contour for the winter and for super pale cool toned people. Creamy and blendable!
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner: This is awesome! It’s my first go at a felt tipped style liner and while it did take a while to get used to…It’s PERFECT AND it lasts alllll day long!
Too Faced Chocolate Gold: This palette is just everything for me. It has shimmers AND mattes…It has what I was missing from the UD palette. Good color payoff..I just love it! I’ll mention here that I haven’t used my Jaclyn Hill Morphe palette since I got this. Click here for my review
Too Faced Bend and Snap Melted Matte: This is the perfect color for date night!! It’s a very bright pink/red and I love it! I also love the formula on these bad boys and honestly…these are what made me venture into wearing brighter colors.
Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Cream: I discovered this back in March last year and I haven’t looked back since. In fact now I have all of the things!! No, really I have the spray, the body wash, the foot cream etc. etc. The best smell ever and I cannot find a dupe for it anywhere. So amazing I keep it stockpiled!Click here for my review
Tarte Clay Play Palette: You guys, this was a HUGE hit for me. I use this every single day even if it’s just for eyebrow shaping. It has eyeshadow, contour etc…I mainly use it for my brows but I also use it for a no makeup makeup look. The contour works well too! It’s just a great palette for every day use. Last but not least…an honorable mention (not pictured)! Marc Jacobs Enamored High Shine Lipgloss….If I’m going to wear a lipgloss, I usually reach for these. They are nicely pigmented, not super sticky, last a long time and taste minty!
I’m working on an Anti-Haul post….It’s going to be a good one. If you haven’t already, you should really check out Kimberly Clark’s youtube channel. You can find it here, she is the originator of Anti-Hauls and anti-consumerism but also very funny and informative!
